Instead of making a traditional fruit cake this Christmas why not make this delicious novelty cake made from chocolate cake. This cake is sure to make all your guests laugh and never fails to delight children. You will have a fun introduction into cake decorating and this course would replace Novelty 101 should you wish to progress further with more workshops next year. In this course we will initially cover cake basics on everything from how to prepare the perfect base before you decorate to how to handle rolled fondant icing and the different equipment we use. The course will then progress quickly and students will attempt their own cake as well as gain knowledge and experience in preparing a range of novelty decorating techniques including air-brushing, painting, glazing & making Santa’s legs using figurine skills. More advanced students will be taught helpful techniques and tips to improve their current skill base. This is a ‘hands on’ course therefore class sizes will be kept relatively small, all materials and a lovely lunch is also provided. Take some time out and learn something new before Christmas, treat yourself!
