Basics 105 – 2 Tier Double Height

This is the fifth workshop in our Basics Series program. This class moves away from the more traditional shapes, adding a modern twist to the wedding cake with the double extended tiers. This 2 tier shape actually consists of two tiers in the base covered to look like one; the goal of this workshop is for students to master setting up and covering a double tier (Please note the top tier is styrofoam). Students will also be introduced to the beautiful arts of piping and stencilling with royal icing, and learn to create a technically superior cake, one that is beyond the skill level of many established decorators. In addition, students will learn how to make a ruffle peony. Planet Cake’s goal is to teach students skills and designs that they can replicate at home with the same results. All classes are taught by qualified teachers.
