Basics 104 – Three Tier

This is the fourth workshop in our 10 module Basics Series program and takes students from beginners to an intermediate skill level through the three tiered ‘Giant Rose’ wedding cake. This popular two day workshop teaches students to avoid the pitfalls of tiered cakes through the use of center poles in order to create a perfectly straight and supported cake. As an added bonus, Basics 104 also includes silver leaf and icing indentation techniques as well as the beautiful giant sugar rose. Planet Cake’s goal is to teach students skills and designs that they can replicate at home with the same results. All classes are taught by teachers.

Prerequisite: Basics 103

• Set up board and centre pole
• Master sharp edges
• Set up 3 tier round (1 Styro tier)
• Use in between boards

• Make and colour giant sugar rose
